Zhak Cohen

Zhak Cohen is a Managing Director on Gallatin’s investment team and a member of the investment committee. Prior to joining Gallatin, Mr. Cohen was a Vice President in the Alternative Capital Team at XL Group, a global insurance and reinsurance company providing property, casualty and specialty products on a worldwide basis, where he was responsible for developing, analyzing, and executing M&A, capital market and investment activities in the insurance and asset management sectors. Mr. Cohen started his career as an M&A Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP.  He earned a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, from Brandeis University.  He currently serves on the board of directors of Phoenix Holdings Ltd. (TLV: PHOE1) and its associated The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd., Bowhead Insurance Holdings and its associated Bowhead Insurance Company Inc., Victor Insurance Exchange, and Trusted Resource Underwriters, and is a board observer of Tower Hill Risk Management, LLC.
