Michael Halford

Michael Halford is a Managing Director on Gallatin’s Income Strategies team. He is responsible for sourcing, risk underwriting and asset management for Gallatin’s income strategy. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in finance and investing. Prior to joining Gallatin, he was a Managing Director focused on private credit investments with Peak 8 Asset Management and PartnerRe’s investment management group. He has also worked in credit insurance and reinsurance at CentreRe, a subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services Group. Mr. Halford is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and started his career in public accounting working for PwC and EY in Canada and Bermuda, respectively. He graduated with a BCom from the University of Alberta and holds an MBA, with distinction, from New York University.
